The Horizon Europe Mission on Cancer foresees a novel comprehensive mission approach by integrating innovative methods to research, public health and many other policies. This includes citizen engagement to achieve jointly with Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan an ambitious goal: Improving the lives of more than 3 million people by 2030 through prevention and cures, and for those affected by cancer (including their families) to live longer and better lives. The objective of this workshop is to explore the evidence available on the role of environmental stressors in the development of childhood cancer and reflect on existing research gaps and future needs in this research area. Professionals in the field who wish to be involved in this effort are invited to participate at the event. Explore the programme and join us engage on 6 October in the discussion to discuss on how EU-funded research can provide evidence-based solutions to this societal challenge. Please note that onsite participation is very limited. Interested participants will be able to follow the first two open sessions of this event online through the livestream. The outcomes of the workshop will be shared publicly at a later stage.
