Prof. Dr. George Meskhi studied Physics at the Tbilisi State University, Georgia, and graduated as Doctor of Sciences in physics mathematics at A F Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, St Petersburg, Russia in 1983 (title of the dissertation: “Auger and radiation decay of inner shall vacancies during atomic collisions”). He has completed his post-doctoral position at the University of Salford, (Manchester), England, supervised by Prof. Dr. David Armour and Prof. Dr. George Carter. He has published more than 70 research articles. Prof. George Meskhi has been elected as a dean of the faculty of Engineering, Agrarian and Natural Science at Samtskhe-Javakheti State University in 2009, where he works as a full professor since 2013.
