The first Development Policy Forum (DPF) roundtable debate in 2009 will take place on Tuesday, March 3 at the Bibliothèque Solvay in Brussels. Entitled "Saving development aid from global recession" it will focus on the impact of the global crisis on development aid and on a possible reform of today's aid architecture. It will consist of two sessions - Session I "The MDGs can't be put on hold" and Session II "Is re-thinking our aid architecture a realistic answer?". Mike Foster MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the UK's Department for International Development (DFID) will join as one of the introductory discussants.(Source: Friends of Europe website)
