On Friday September 11th the two Belgian passive house organizations are organising the seventh PassiveHouse Symposium. Over the years this unique initiative has developed into a leading event in the world of passive and very energy efficient building. This scientific conference addresses all professionals from the construction world: architects, engineers and bureaus, besides policy makers and public organizations. This symposium offers a platform to about thirty speakers from all over Europe, to share their knowledge on innovative technologies, their research and their experience. Hence the symposium is an excellent opportunity to stay informed about the latest developments in the field of energy efficient buildings.Like the past years our program includes a varied range of lectures which are spread over eight large blocks, four in the morning and four in the afternoon. Participants can choose between two parallel sessions at all times. This year we have chosen the following topics: renovation, simulation, climate control, solutions for passive constructions, passive schools, urban planning, economic efficiency and international passive projects.Participants select the subjects that most concern them. Simultaneous interpretation ensures accurate understanding of non-English speakers. Hence, the symposium allows building professionals from various sectors to keep their specific knowledge related to energy-conscious and passive houses most effectively up-to-date. Moreover, participants will receive the Symposium-Proceedings, summarizing the contributions made during the symposium.During the coffee and lunch breaks a poster session informs participants about various other projects and researches. At the same time exclusive access is granted to the PassiveHouse Fair. In addition the fair offers participants the exceptional opportunity to get in touch with and exchange experiences with the numerous professionals from the energy-efficient construction world.
