Between 2004 and 2007, Anne and her team at Fontana initiated and coordinated a research project, on behalf of YellowdesignFoundation and with the backing of UITP, Union Internationale des Transporteurs Publics (www.UITP.org), IBM, Clear Channel and Schréder as well as Public Transport operators and their authorities, also including the Cabinet for Equal Opportunities of the Brussels Region Government.Speaker : Anne LeemansThe research was conducted in 6 European countries which ultimately led to the development of the SPIN-UP (Security Perception in Intermodal Stations for Urban Public transport) methodology.The SPIN-UP methodology changes the face of intermodal urban public transport stations as well as their immediate environments and actively promotes and supports sustainable urban mobility.
