Knowing the constraints on European journalists in Brussels, so as to better influence them

BackgroundEvery day, several thousand European interest groups seek to influence European institutions. To get their point of view considered, these interest groups benefit from having their messages relayed by European journalists based in Brussels. But the task is complicated because their targets are much sought-after journalists who receive hundreds of emails every day. That being the case, how does one get the attention of these journalists?
