The Fundación Comunidad Valenciana-Región Europea (FCVRE), together with the Dirección General de Modernización of the Valencia Region and MFG Medien- und Filmgesellschaft of the Baden-Württemberg Region, organize the final conference of the VoiceS project: “eEngagement - How the Internet changes European Political Dialogue” that will take place on November 17, 2010 from 09:00 to 13:30h in the Committee of the Regions in Brussels. (Room JDE51).The conference aims to discuss about the participation of consumers in the European Union, as well as the role of the internet and Communication and Information Technologies (CIT) in the participation process of citizens. To this effect, interactive web pages are particularly important for political communication to reach civil society. Thus, the use of these new tools by citizens is considered a key element in EU policies. Moreover, the conference will take place within the framework of the European project “VoiceS” which will be presented as an example of best practice in e-Participation programmes. This project aims to promote the dialogue between European citizens and their political representatives in the European Parliament. European representatives, regional and local authorities, all partners collaborating in the VOICES project, experts on CIT and representative associations will be participating in the conference.
