Conference on biodiversity and sustainability during Demovert/Demogroen in Brussels. Golfers, landscapers, public authorities dealing with green spaces, turf managers, forestry workers and landowners are invited to register quickly as the number of seats is limited. External stakeholders and industry representatives will exchange ideas and experience on how to support and improve biodiversity and sustainability. Many actors are delivering results in this area and others are planning their own actions. Under the professional moderation of Alex Puissant, speakers, panellists and delegates will come up with ideas and suggestions to develop and enhance the sustainable development of gardens, golf courses, forests and parks.Speakers who have already confirmed their participation are Stephen Venn from the University of Helsinki, Thierry de l’Escaille from the European Landowners Organization, Jeremy Slessor from the European Golf Association Golf Course Committee, Dr Ute Seeling, Chief Executive at the Organisation for Forest Work and Technology, Jonas Willaredt, Director of Environmental Affairs from Husqvarna, Wolfgang Simmer, Director Marketing and Sales at VIKING, Sarolta Tripolszky from the European Environmental Bureau, Geoff Webb from IOG and the biodiversity unit of the European Commission. The conference takes place at DemoVert / DemoGroen in the Parc de Laeken, Avenue du Gros Tilleul/Dikke Lindelaan, 1020 Brussels. The conference is free of charge but delegates will be asked to pay for the catering (cost price). Delegates must also register on the Demovert/Demogroen website for their free entrance pass to the show.
