Held in honour of Friends of Europe’s President Viscount Étienne Davignon, our annual President’s Dinner is one of the highlights of the Brussels agenda, renowned for bringing together a few hundred European personalities from the worlds of politics, business, civil society and the media for an intellectually stimulating and entertaining evening. The prestigious dinner follows our State of Europe VIP roundtable, beginning with a welcome cocktail at 19.00. Guests of honour always prompt chuckles among participants for their insightful and humorous account of the ups and downs of their working lives. Friends of Europe’s Trustees, European Commissioners and Directors General, members of the European Parliament, other senior officials from the EU institutions and European governments including ambassadors and ministers, leaders from industry, NGOs and civil society, and senior media representatives are all on the guest list.
