The meeting is aimed at analysing, with scientific experts and stakeholders, the burden of alcohol-related harm and the value of targeted measures at EU and national level, namely a continued EU Alcohol Strategy encompassing effective supporting measures to the Member States in a range of areas including prevention, screening, early detection and interventions, treatment and ongoing support to affected people and their families.
