Substances on the Authorisation List (Annex XIV of the REACH Regulation) cannot be placed on the market or used after the so-called "sunset date" unless an authorisation has been granted for a specific use, or if the use has been exempted from authorisation.As soon as a substance is included in the Authorisation List, manufacturers, importers or downstream users of this substance may apply for an authorisation. Prior to the seminar, the participants have to get acquainted with the Guidance documents on authorisation applications available on the ECHA website as well as with tools and formats that ECHA provides, including the FAQs and Q&As.This seminar will be similar to the one that ECHA held on11-12 February 2013. The aim is improve future applicants' understanding of the authorisation application procedure. The main topics to be covered include the content requirements for applications, the public consultation on possible alternatives, the analysis of alternatives and socio-economic analysis, as well as the formats, manuals and tools for the application submission.
