International Biogas Study Tour

4 days on the road to visit biogas plants and meet planners of biogas plant, technology suppliers and exchange experience with international colleages.

IBBK Fachgruppe Biogas offers a 4-day study tour. The participants of the tour will visit planners of biogas plants, manufacturers of components and biogas plants as well as biogas plants with new or ground-breaking concepts or technology in Germany.The tour will cover the following topics:Visit of an municipal garage dry fermentation biogas plant with digestate treatment system, composting and a turnover of 20.000 t/a biowasteOn site visit of an agricultural biogas plant with a microgasturbine and digestate treatment with an electric pig, marketing of pelletized fertilizer, 1. Bioenergy Village in Northern Baden-WürttembergVisit of an agricultural facility for treatment of chicken manure and district heating concept operating for 15 yearsVisiting an organic farmer operating a lagoon biogas plant with irrigation mixing and simplified feeding techniqueVisit of a bioenergy village with energy and heat supply based on indigenous biomass including a rate of over 50% gras. About 40 buildings are connected to the district heating net (length: 2,5km)Visit of an agricultural biogas plant with biomethane upgrading and feed-in to the low pressure gas gridVisit of a 1250 kW codigestion biogas plant fed with pig slurry and chicken manure. The first big chicken manure project in East Germany with 16 years experienceThe Biogas Study Tour will be conducted in English/German and includes sight seeing and cultural aspects.
