Communicating the European Parliament elections: the seXy factor

"How should the EU present itself? Why are institutional and creative forces often confronted and how can they go hand in hand?"

The UM Campus Brussels is proud to host the following event organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Belgium:The European Parliament video “Act, React, Impact” which launched the communications campaign around the upcoming EP elections was a huge success with over 8.000.000 viewers.Another video on the topic which was later launched and grew in popularity as the alternative European elections campaign also struck a chord with the EU audience. “The EU: we are not sexy and we know it, but screw it, we still do stuff”, a piece written by Yacine Kouhen and directed by Charlélie Jourdan from the Old Continent provoked questions: How should the EU present itself? Why are institutional and creative forces often confronted and how can they go hand in hand? Can you be sexy and impactful?”Stephen Clark, Director for relations with citizens at the European Parliament  and Yacine Kouhen will discuss these questions in an open debate on Tuesday, 28 January 2014 at the UM Campus Brussels, Avenue de l’Armée 10, 1040 Brussels from 18h to 20h. The event will be followed by a networking drink.Don’t miss your chance to impact the debate:register now!
