The issue of subsidies to European energy industries is increasingly controversial. Having reliable figures is becoming essential now, as the European Union looks at state aid, energy costs and consumer protection policies.          Energy Taxation and Subsidies in Europe, a study by independent consultant NERA Economic Consulting, will shed new light on this crucial issue. The research, commissioned by the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (OGP), looks at public financing mechanisms for fossil and renewable energies in Europe.Daniel Radov, Associate Director at NERA Economic Consulting, will present the findings, discuss them with the European Commission and welcome questions from the audience.
