Healthier Food Choices for EuropeChoices International acknowledges the key role of the European Union in stimulating healthier food choices through strategy development and policy guidelines. Therefore, on 4 November 2014, we invite you to participate in the Choices breakfast debate in the European Parliament to discuss the future of positive health logos in Europe in 2015 and beyond. About Choices In 2004 the World Health Organization (WHO) called upon industry to help tackle the growing problem of obesity and associated diet-related health issues. In response, the Choices Programme was launched. As a positive front-of-pack logo its objective is to help consumers make healthy food choices, and stimulate producers to develop healthier products. Currently the Choices Programme is present in the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland and the Czech Republic, and has established cooperations with other European, Latin American and Asian countries. The Choices logo can be found on approximately 7,000 food and beverage products from more than 130 companies.
