The Energy Storage Association (ESA) and the European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE), are organizing an Energy Storage Global Conference on November 19-21, 2014 in the Cercle National des Armées in Paris. This three day event will feature a focus on global markets, policy and technology/research - with each day devoted to one of these 'pillars' of the energy storage industry - and each pillar developed by different global partners with extensive expertise in the subject matter. The Energy Storage Global Conference includes attendees from around the world, and space is limited and filling up fast. The three days will feature panels and keynotes addresses focused on:Day 1 - Technology - will be driven by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission and by Sandia National Laboratories. This day will be followed by a networking dinner (included in the conference ticket) in Montmartre.Day 2 - Market - will be driven by EASE and ESA and will be followed by a networking dinner on the Seine.Day 3 - Policy - will be driven by DG ENER of the European Commission and by the Department of Energy (US). Director-General Ristori (DG Energy of the European Commission) has already confirmed his presence and we are at the moment discussing the participation of the French Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.Day 2 will have a rapporteur attending and recording the proceedings, who will summarize their findings on the third day and present a statement of collaboration to be signed by the participating government agencies in order to develop a road map for global cooperation.In addition to the conference, there will be an exhibition and networking during the event. The conference will feature an exhibition hall for up to 15 exhibitors, and this daylight lit space will also hold all breaks and lunches throughout the event - offering ample time to engage with storage leaders and policymakers, and see first-hand the state of the industry.The Energy Storage Global Conference is focused on engagement - and we have limited the number of sponsors and exhibitors to reinforce the non-commercial nature of this event.
