Based on a novel, interactive system intended to boost participants' real-time involvement, the one-day EESC conference will provide a fresh view, backed up by concrete proposals regarding economic, environmental and social challenges, while addressing governance as a cross-cutting issue. Advocating a sustainable economy, it will look at the possibility of setting up a broader network that could identify bottlenecks and implement best practice more effectively. New perspectives on social progress will be put forward, aimed at boosting the performance and effectiveness of the EU's strategic goals. The post-2015 development agenda and assessment indicators will also be discussed.
