In just 13 days, Ivana Di Martino will run over 900 kilometres from Milan, Italy to Brussels, Belgium, to deliver an important message: millions of children in the EU are at risk of poverty and social exclusion. Many are unable to access adequate food and food education, which contributes to a rise in malnutrition.
You’re invited to meet Ivana at the finish line, along with prominent Members of the European Parliament. Her arrival is planned for 23 May at 17.00 at the Bibliothèque Solvay in Parc Léopold. The welcome ceremony will feature interventions from European and Belgian policymakers as well as NGOs. Following this ceremony, all participants are invited to join a celebratory “Pasta Party”. If you are a parent, your children are welcome to join the festivities!
To amplify her message, Ivana has teamed up with family-owned food company Barilla and the European Federation of Food Banks, as well as the French, Belgian and Italian Food Bank Federations.
