Wireless IoT is still an outstanding topic for the industry. Several new wireless technologies for low power wide area networking start competing for industrial users and applications - using the SubGHz ISM bands, building new networks with own base stations, or using the existing LTE networks. The underlying technologies might be very different, but the M2M use cases are partially similar. However, it leaves the designer with the question about his best choice.
This year’s Wireless Congress program will focus on the new technologies and trends for LPWAN – like LTE-Cat-NB1, Lora, Sigfox and Weightless.
In the panel discussion "Low Power Wide Area Networks for industrial IoT – licensed versus unlicensed bands?” experts from network operators and from the wireless industry will discuss chances and challenges for low power M2M-communication technologies.
