Exploring the state-of-the-art

It weighs 1% of glass, but it lets more light in. This is only one of the characteristics that make ETFE a ‘wonder’ material. However, its multiple benefits are still not very well known.

To counter this, we have designed a training lecture to give an introduction to textile-based architecture, and ETFE in particular, focusing on its qualities and its architectural ;It will also present the state-of-the-art uses of ETFE for multifunctional surfaces, including the integration of photovoltaics and façade lighting.

This lecture will be of interest for architects, building professionals and those in the energy efficiency sector. If you want to know more, don’t miss our workshop on 8th November.

The event is FREE of charge and will be followed by a cocktail reception.

It will also provide an opportunity to network with other interested parties, including speakers from:

  • Acciona Infrastructures, one of Europe’s largest infrastructure companies, and
  • Taiyo Europe, a leading company for textile architecture, who have worked on projects such as the Centre Pompidou in Metz, and the Millennium Dome in London.
