State aid & procurement in infrastructural projects

A three-day informative seminar which puts light on the complex subjects of state-aid and public procurement surrounding infrastructural projects. This training course is ideal for project implementers and verifiers.

Certainly, the subjects of state aid and public procurement are thorny subjects for those involved in the management and control of EU-funded projects. In all fairness, that’s how we see them too!  They are considered legalistic, complex areas which require not only specific expertise, knowledge, and pinch of intuition. Each project is a case on its own and the individual characteristics and solutions of one are not directly applicable to the other, especially with state aid.

This three-day workshop is designed exactly for those who manage and control operational programmes and infrastructural projects co-funded by the European Structural and Investment Funds and who would like to understand state aid and public procurement without getting lost in the technicalities and complex ; The language is plain and ; Our guest speaker, Mr Sandro Lauri from the Ministry for Energy and Water Management of Malta, will share his experience on the most recent experience with the notification of State Aid on the new gas-fired power station of Malta (click here for more information), and also the experience on the application of the General Block Exemption Regulation on a major renewable energy ; Like us, Mr Lauri speaks the language of the project implementer and not the lawyer or the ; So he knows how to bring all sides of state aid together to suit the needs of managers and officers at the Managing Authorities, Intermediate Bodies, Certifying Authorities, Audit Authorities, Beneficiaries and other relevant institutions.

Likewise, public procurement aspects are discussed in the most comprehensive and straightforward manner, as is customary of our courses and ; Our mission is to make everyone comfortable with the crucial principles of procurement and to apply them correctly in the various contexts presented by infrastructural projects.
