As SMEs invest substantial resources in the development of new technologies, technical solutions and new designs, losing their inventions to competitors is too costly, thus it is important to properly plan a comprehensive IP strategy including all aspects of IP related to Med Tech.
Finnish Business Council and China IPR SME Helpdesk jointly organize a webinar series consisting of 2 sessions on IP Protection in Med Tech Industry in China.
The 1st webinar on 11 November, it was about Technical IP Protection in Med Tech Industry. China IPR SME Helpdesk IP Business Advisor Mr. Matias Zubimendi provided an overview IP protection relating to product development, focusing on patents, trade secrets and software solutions for new technologies etc.
During the 2nd webinar titled Business IP Protection in Med Tech Industry, taking place on 25 November, Mr. Zubimendi will discuss the economic exploitation of IP in Med Tech industry, focusing on the main IP-contracts such as licensing agreements. This webinar section will also cover the IP protection of APPs and databases. Mr. Zubimendi will also cover design protection and exploitation as well as stress the importance branding and trade mark protection.
Both webinars conclude in a Q&A session, where SMEs are given the opportunity to raise questions and further discuss with the speaker.
