China represents an attractive market for European innovative SMEs, but many entrepreneurs fear that the Chinese IP system is unfair and unsafe. However, China has been committed to improve its IP legal system over the last years, and positive results have been achieved. What is important, is to take the right steps and be well prepared. In the framework of the technology transfer programme for China, organized by the Energy Cluster of the Valencia Region, the China IP SME Helpdesk will provide a training on IP protection in China. The Helpdesk IP expert, Mr Philippe Deltombe, will provide best practices to develop an IP strategy for China in the context of technology transfer, an overview of the new patent law and the new enforcement guidelines, as well as a variety of case studies.
