EAPIL 2021 - 27-29 May 2021
Conference on Private International Law at Aarhus BSS - The 2021 EAPIL Aarhus Conference
This conference gathers academics and practitioners from all over Europe to discuss European private international law and the challenges arising from the increase in digitisation and fragmentation. More and more people are engaging in private law transactions across borders, and businesses are also increasingly participating in international trade.
Private citizens and companies are increasingly in need of clarity on venues and acts. Since the Treaty of Amsterdam in 1999, the EU has focused on this legal field in which several new acts have seen the light of day. Practicing lawyers and government agencies and institutions should be aware of the issues raised by the different EU acts, international conventions and national regulations.
The conference is planned for 27-29 May 2021 - at Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University and is the first conference in the framework of The European Association of Private International Law (EAPIL) founded in 2019. The 2021 conference at Aarhus BSS will be the first official and founding conference of the association.
