"Next Generation EU Startup Europe Awards (SEUA) for Circular and Disruptive Solutions in Textiles”​

This COP26 official event, which is being led by Finnova Foundation along with Zero Waste Scotland, will seek to advance cross-border cooperation among Latin America, the European Union, and Scotland. Panelists will present the potential strategies which may enable to overcome the obstacles that the fashion and textile industry experiences – the second largest polluting sector in the world. Consequently, the event will focus on cooperation and the support of brand-new and innovative production models, for which experts on sustainability and the circular economy will provide some clues. European project of the COSME programme that aims to transform companies in the textile and fashion industry into sustainable, circular and regenerative ones. With a duration of 2 years, it has a budget of 1,128,000 euros, 75% co-financed by the European Commission. The project is composed of an international consortium led by the European Institute of Design (IED), with Texfor, Circulab, Finnova and The Circular Project with HumanNation.
