The European Health Data Space (EHDS) will facilitate sharing health data to develop research and improve citizens’ health. In order to unleash the full potential of health data EU health data policy is fundamental, supporting infrastructures that enable responsible health data sharing. Legal and regulatory frameworks are fundamental to enable responsible exchange of data within a health data ecosystem.
