The Western Greece Managing Authority is designing and implementing its Smart Specialisation Strategy for the programming period 2021-2027. They are especially interested to learn about new S3 governance arrangements and to promote a continuous and inclusive open discovery process.  The smart specialisation strategy (S3) and the entrepreneurial discovery process gave the opportunity for regional policymakers to experiment with novel regional innovation governance arrangements. S3 is a place-based innovation policy concept to support regional prioritisation in innovative sectors, fields or technologies through the entrepreneurial discovery process, a bottom-up approach to reveal what a region does best in terms of its scientific and technological ;
