The quality of local governance is very much linked to public participation, but how active are the EU citizens at the local level? How can cities help them engage further in local policymaking? How can we improve public consultations make them more efficient and easier to access?
Representatives from Greece, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, and Spain present examples and best practices from their countries and discuss with representatives of the European Commission and EU associations.
The event is organized in Brussels, Sq. de Meeûs 1, 1000 on 29 March 2023, ;by the Active Cities for EU, an EU funded Network of Towns project that aims to improve the way local authorities conduct public consultations and increase participation of women and young people to the local policy making processes.
