Nocturnes 2023 at the House of European History!

Join special activities around our temporary exhibition "Throwaway – the history of a contemporary crisis".

For this year's edition of Nocturnes, the House of European History invites you to join special activities around our temporary exhibition "Throwaway – the history of a contemporary crisis".

Throwaway unearths the hidden history of waste in Europe while tracking its significance as a marker of social change.

Discover the Throwaway project through guided tours of either the exhibition galleries, or a special behind the scenes route uncovering the creative process behind delivering an exhibition and the journey waste objects have taken from selection to showcase.

You can even participate in an upcycling workshop given by our partners Les Cadavres Exquis. Bring your own clothes you want to repair, update or decorate!
