Spaces for innovation
Spaces for innovation play an important role for local and regional development.
They are physical spaces that aim to accelerate the innovation process and to target many different users—start-ups, SMEs, private companies, students, researchers, citizens.
This workshop will focus on two spaces for innovation of high interest to regional policymakers: FabLabs and Innovation Centres.
Spaces for entrepreneurship
The TO3 workshop will focus on ‘spaces for entrepreneurship and business development in urban environments’.
We will look into examples of physical spaces - such as Fab Labs, but also into the way local administrations provide (policy) space for business development through specific entrepreneurship programmes.
Modern green districts
We will explore how renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable mobility and smart technologies work together for modern low-carbon districts, exploring differences in technical solutions, business models and governance approaches.
