Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are among the most common work-related health problems in the EU, which reduces workers’ quality of life, as well as capacity to work. An upcoming event in Slovenia aims to provide insights into its prevention, diagnosis and management.
Hosted by our focal point, Ministrstvo za delo, družino, socialne zadeve in enake možnosti, the activity will offer insights into the connection between work-related conditions and chronic pain, including the impact of repetitive movements and long-term exposure to adverse working conditions. The seminar will feature expert specialists in occupational, traffic and sports medicine who will discuss the diagnosis and management of these disorders.
Additionally, the seminar will emphasise the importance of risk assessment in preventing such conditions and will introduce the Pro-Akt program. This initiative is an example of a best practice for managing and mitigating MSDs in the workplace.
This event is particularly relevant for professionals in occupational safety and health (OSH), human resources and those involved in workplace ergonomics. By participating, attendees will be better equipped to identify, address and prevent MSDs in their respective fields.
