The Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh) was created in accordance with Law 4443/64, which established Greece as a founder-member of the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM). Its foundation took place under Law 1537/85, which was passed by the Greek Parliament following the provision of Article 28, paragraph 1 of the Constitution (after at least a 2/3 majority of members in favour). The Centre constitutes an international organisation whose aim is the development of scientific cooperation in the sectors of economics, rural development, management, and applied biological, technological and environmental sciences, addressing to problems in the Mediterranean area. The Mediterranean Agronomic Institutes of Bari (Italy), Montpellier (France) and Saragoza (Spain) are constituent Institutes of the same organisation. The annual budget contribution of the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania is entirely provided by the Greek government.The Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania offers post-graduate specialist studies (over a period of two academic years), leading to the degree of Master of Science (). Courses are conducted in the English language by visiting professors from Greek, European, American and Mediterranean Universities in cooperation with the Institute. An important comparative advantage is that the competence in the development of cooperation is highlighted within the European Union, the Mediterranean basin and Balkan countries, both in the provision of post-graduate training of executives and academics from these countries, as well as in the contribution to their economic development through common research and development projects. Active Cities for EU promotes local decision making through public consultations, to strengthen citizens’ active involvement in European political life. The project focuses on women as tackling gender inequality in the EU will contribute to the protection and further promotion of the EU citizenship.The main aims of the project are: To understand the reasons behind the different levels of participation of citisend participation in different countries To identify, share and discuss best practices, methodologies and tools To simplify the identified methodologies and tools and disseminate them in other EU Member States To train municipal personnel in the use of the simplified methodologies and tools to increase citizens’ participation 5. support local authorities in planning and implementing public consultations to involve citizens in policymakingThe target audiences of the project are local and regional authorities at country level, but also local authorities outside the partners’ countries. Women and young people are also a special focus of this project as according to all data they are underrepresented in public consultations and in some cases they are also lacking interest to participate. Journalists and European institutions, associations and networks will be also targeted as multipliers towards policymakers and the general public.The project partnership supports public consultations and citizens engagement. It is composed of 2 cities and 3 associations from 5 diffrerent countries. The municipality of Kallithea is the coordinator of the project.

The Hellenic Agricultural Organization – DEMETER (2011) is the new organization which resulted from the merge of the National Agricultural Research Foundation (NAGREF) of Greece, established in 1989, with three other Greek organizations of the agricultural sector. All the activities and obligations of NAGREF have been passed to the new organization. For over two decades, issues of high importance for the agricultural sector, such as integrated crops management and development, environment and ecosystems protection, livestock improvement and breeding, organic agriculture, animals, fisheries, forestry and public health protection etc. are approached in the spirit of agricultural research in the service of society and implemented with the application of new technologies. The target groups affected by the activity of the organization are farmers, consumers, educational organizations, local authorities, non-governmental organizations, research organizations / researchers, SMEs and students.

The project "AI-augmented ecosystem for Earth Observation data accessibility with Extended reality User Interfaces for Service and data exploitation" or EO4EU is a European Commission funded innovation project bringing forward the EO4EU Platform which will make access and use of EO data easier for environmental, government, and even business forecasts and operations.The project will promote pre-operational European services like DestinE and will utilise existing platforms and services through the extensive use of disruptive technologies.EO4EU is made up of 16 consortium partners from 11 countries. The consortium that will bring the platform and its initial use cases forward is led by the University of Athens. The Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) is a think tank on homeland security policies and an established research center  since  2005 within  the  Hellenic Ministry of Citizen Protection aiming  to  support  security  policy  implementations  in Greece at a strategic level. The Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy, is a scientific non-governmental organisation, founded in Athens in March 2017, and is the only proponent of Cultural Diplomacy in Greece. Working closely with private and public governmental bodies, academic and scientific organisations both at home and around the world, the Institute has branches in different Greek cities and abroad. Each branch is responsible for the development and delivery of a range of cultural activities, under the guidance of the Athens headquarters. By engaging in research and developing the different fields of Cultural Diplomacy, the HICD aims to shape foreign perceptions of Greece to highlight the unique cultural characteristics of our country. This contributes to strengthens Greece’s bilateral, regional and multilateral diplomatic bonds, improves relations between nations and communicates universal values and principles that only culture can convey.
