The Language Teaching Centre (SLI) of the University of Freiburg is open year-round and offers intensive and extensive courses in over 20 languages. There are courses which take place during University terms, focus on vocabulary for speciality areas or prepare students for examinations. Yehudi Menuhin, one of the greatest violinists of the 20th century, created the International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation AISBL in Brussels in 1991. The mission of the IYMF is to remind political, cultural and educational institutions of the central role of art and creativity in the whole personal and societal development process. The European College of Sport Science (ECSS) is the leading association of sport scientists at the European level and practices extensive cooperations with corresponding non-European associations. The purpose of the ECSS is the promotion of science and research, with special attention to sport science across Europe and beyond. Our mission EIPA was created in 1981 on the occasion of the first European Council held in Maastricht, and is supported by the EU Member States and the European Commission.
