ITA (before Instituto Tecnológico del Agua) is an Universidad Politecnica de Valencia research group. Our activity is focused on research and development dealing with urban water engineering and management. The ITA is formed by a group of water professionals consolidated over the last thirty years in Valencia and which originated around the Fluid Mechanics Chair at the UPV. Problems and concerns connected with water are developing at great speed in our society. The sustainable management of water is now taking the foreground in many parts of the world, a tendency which will only accentuate in the future. New concepts and new tools are needed to enable proper sustainable management of urban water, which is why the efforts of ITA focus on efficiency and sustainability, incorporating the the technical background which our work has always had.

The IBBK (International Biogas and Bioenergy Centre of Competence) is a combination and network of experts and companies, as well as groups of interest and educational institutes in the field of biogas and bioenergy.The work of the IBBK covers regional, national and international activities. ESWET - The European Suppliers of Waste to Energy Technology is the European association representing manufacturers in the field of Waste-to-Energy Technology. The main purpose of ESWET is to foster the development and the dissemination of the Waste-to-Energy Technology, also called Energy-from-Waste. ESWET also seeks to raise the awareness of the positive implications of the technology in terms of better waste management, energy and for the environment. ESWET Members'​ technology is part of a sustainable waste management chain, most commonly referred to as the waste hierarchy, introduced in the EU Waste Framework Directive. ESWET believes that Waste-to-Energy has an important role to play both on the energy recovery and on the environmental aspects of waste management. Moreover, making a valuable contribution to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through better waste management, ESWET believes that the Waste-to-Energy technology is a solution to multiple challenges.

The European Forest Institute (EFI) is a pan-European international organization. It has 29 Member Countries, and c. 120 member organizations from 40 different countries working in diverse research fields. EFI provides forest-related knowledge around three interconnected and interdisciplinary themes: bioeconomy, resilience and governance. With a staff of over 100 experts in several offices across Europe, EFI is in a unique position to generate, connect and share knowledge at the interface between science and policy.  EFI puts increasing emphasis on cross-sectoral approaches in its research and development activities. It is thus in a good position to have efficient access to social, economic and environmental expertise covering all of Europe’s bio-geographical regions. The work in the field of policy support includes enhanced support for decision takers and policy makers.
