We are Europe’s only direct company membership association and our sectors include Cleaning, Municipal Equipment, Robotics and Vehicle Cleaning.EUnited connects machinery and equipment companies in one association to improve awareness and understanding among decision-makers and policy actors in the European Union institutions. Equipment suppliers are the mainstay of advanced manufacturing, increasingly recognized as indispensable for basic needs from basic nutrition and other human needs such as employment. The supervision and regulation of manufacturing has always been a major political challenge. Today policy makers are contending with technological complex global supply chains and a hardening competitive context. The European Union has an important role in developing and optimizing the international regulatory and policy framework for manufacturing. The EU is increasingly called to arbitrate on environmental protection issues and propose proper regulation and practices. Informed decisions are crucial: manufacturing can be seen as a source of pollution, the cause of inequality or the principal menace to earth’s sustainability, but the same manufacturing industry is biggest employer, and produces pollution abatement as well as waste to energy solutions.

GAPP  is a 45 month Joint Action funded by the EU Health programme aiming at facilitating the development of a common and optimal approach to assess and authorize preparation processes in blood and tissues establishments (BEs and TEs), adapting requirements as prescribed by Article 29 of Directive 2002/98/EC and Article 28 of Directive 2004/23/EC .   This Joint Action will clearly contribute to the implementation of Union legislation in the fields of human tissues and cells, blood, providing tools and training to increase harmonisation of those MS activities that regulate the areas of blood transfusion, transplantation of tissues and cells and assisted reproduction, in strong abidance with art of Annex I of Regulation 282/2014. These are fields of healthcare that involve a considerable amount of movement of donated substances of human origin between MS and also movement of citizens between MS for treatment, particularly in the field of assisted ; Since the directives for these fields were adopted, significant technical developments have taken place and the complexity of preparation processes has greatly increased. Increasing complexity of processing can bring significant quality and functionality improvements for patients, and/or more efficient use of donations, but it can also bring increased risk, particularly as the level of complexity brings the final product towards the borderline with medicinal products. GAPP will ensure that any possible advantage or outcome is taken into account from two ongoing Public Health Programme projects focused on tissues and cells (EuroGTP II and ECCTR) incorporating a need for clinical follow-up data as part of a comprehensive process authorization. GAPP durable output is that a concept of a knowledge sharing platform on PPAs will be developed and fed in order to facilitate sharing of information among European Union, Competent Authorities and all EU CA inspectors and assessors will be trained specifically to assess and authorize preparation processes of tissues, cells, reproductive cells and blood products. The platform fteval was founded in 1996 with the aim to contribute to more evidence in technology policy. The overall aim is to achieve “a better common understanding between administrators, funders and evaluators." This included the discussion and development of best practices and a discussion of methods, an exchange of experience with other European countries on expert level as well as the discussion on the importance of standards of the European Union for Austria. In order to further support the evaluation culture in Austria and to inform about new developments in the RTI system, which are relevant for evaluation, the platform has developed a broad portfolio of activities and support offers. Within the framework of regular events - such as the country series organised in cooperation with the BMWFW and the WWTF - national and international experts in the area of RTI policy and evaluation are invited for an exchange of ideas. With irregular intervals, international conferences are held on the evaluation of RTI policies, which support an exchange between science and practice. The latest one was the Open Evaluation Conference, for which we were able to win 60 presenters and 250 participants from all five continents. The ‘fteval inside: fteval insight’ event series is a particularity within the portfolio, as member organizations invite each other to present their activities with a self-selected thematic focus and discuss them in an informal framework. This is the Platform’s only internal event format. The Platform’s most long-standing product is the fteval Journal for Research and Technology Policy Evaluation, which arose from the earlier so-called "Newsletter". The journal contains both practical and academic contributions to the topic of RTI policy evaluation and contributes to supporting and safeguarding this discourse across the various stakeholder groups. In more than 40 editions of the journal more than 200 articles were published, predominantly in English. Thematic special editions as well as open editions provide a broad thematic framework. The fteval standards of evaluation in research and technology policy form an important building block for the further development of the evaluation culture. These serve to provide a reference framework for the evaluators, the commissioning bodies and those who are evaluated. The standards aim also to achieve a higher degree of commitment and security for all stakeholders. The standards were developed by the member organisations in a joint process, which started with the institutionalisation of fteval in 2002. The current version of the standards is from 2012. They have been revised in a collaborative process.A further central activity of the platform is the collection and publication of the Austrian evaluation reports in a specially designed repository. The availability of some 300 evaluation reports, studies and strategic documents on the website of the platform contributes to the transparency and visibility of the activities in this policy area. In addition, the platform regularly organises trainings, is available for specific consultation and participates in national and international exchange of knowledge through participation in relevant events of other organisations.

The Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) bans nuclear explosions by everyone, everywhere: on the Earth's surface, in the atmosphere, underwater and underground. It makes it very difficult for countries to develop nuclear bombs for the first time, or for countries that already have them, to make more powerful bombs. It also prevents the huge damage caused by radioactivity from nuclear explosions to humans, animals and plants.Over 2000 nuclear tests were carried out between 1945 and 1996, when the CTBT opened for signature: by the United States (1000+), the Soviet Union (700+), France (200+), the United Kingdom and China (45 each). Three countries have broken the de facto moratorium and tested nuclear weapons since 1996: India and Pakistan in 1998, and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in 2006, 2009, 2013 and 2016.Many attempts were made during the Cold War to negotiate a comprehensive test ban, but it was only in the 1990s that the Treaty became a reality. The CTBT was negotiated in Geneva between 1994 and 1996. One hundred and eighty three countries have signed the Treaty, of which 164 have also ratified it, including three of the nuclear weapon States: France, the Russian Federation and the United Kingdom. But 44 specific nuclear technology holder countries must sign and ratify before the CTBT can enter into force. Of these, eight are still missing: China, Egypt, India, Iran, Israel, North Korea, Pakistan and the USA. India, North Korea and Pakistan have yet to sign the CTBT. The last Annex 2 State to ratify the Treaty was Indonesia on 6 February 2012.

The Gender Summit is a platform for dialogue where scientists, policymakers, gender scholars and stakeholders in science systems examine new research evidence showing when, why, and how biological differences (sex) and socio-cultural differences (gender) between females and males impact on outcomes. The aim is to reach consensus where improvements to science knowledge and science practice are needed and who should take action.  Our aim is to make gender equality in research and innovation the norm and to embed gender as a primary dimension of quality. The Gender Summit started in Europe in 2011 and has helped to influence how gender is addressed in Horizon 2020, the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020), where it is now recognized through three criteria: (A) greater gender equality by increasing the number of women in scientific roles; (B) improved integration of sex-gender analysis in research process; and (C) achieving cross-cutting benefits of gender-sensitive and responsive research and innovation.  We have held 8 Summits since 2011; bringing together over 2500 participants and 500 contributors from over 50 countries, representing expertise and leadership in policy, gender scholarship, science decision making and industry. From our beginnings in Europe, the Gender Summit mission has been taken on in new global regions: North America, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. 2016 has seen the further expansion to Latin America with the GS8 North & Latin America 2016 in April. Institute of High Pressure Physics (IHPP), also known as "Unipress", was founded in 1972 by Polish Academy of Sciences. The Institute is directed by Prof. Izabella Grzegory. For the outline of Unipress history please see "history of Unipress" page.Although the original focus of Unipress was on high-pressure studies of semiconductors, the present field of research activities also covers ceramics, HTc superconductors biological materials (high-pressure studies of protein folding, and high pressure food processing) and the plasticity of metals (hydroextrusion). The common axis of these studies is the use of high pressure, both as a research tool (a perturbation like temperature or magnetic field) and also as a technological method (high-pressure sintering, high-pressure growth of crystals).Nanotechnology is a keyword of a modern physics and material sciences. Unipress is involved in nano-studies not only by exploring classical low-dimensional systems like quantum wells and quantum dots but also by working intensively on materials composed of nanograins such as nanoceramics and nanopowders. High-pressure technology plays very important role in the process of sintering of nanopowders, enabling better control of grain size and uniformity, thus leading to the creation of a new generation of advanced materials.

The University was founded by the decree law no. 660 issued on 30 December 1944, which stipulates that a university must be created in western Romania. Its first faculties either were dissolved or became independent institutions. These independent higher education institutions became a sole university at the end of September 1962. That is why October the 1st is mentioned in the University Charter as University Day; it is not only the day when the academic year begins but also the day when the difficult process which had started on 30 December 1944 ended, when the efforts of creating the university were crowned with success. By 1968, our institution had become an independent university, with a prestigious academic staff in all traditional fields; this was the ideal for which many leading Romanian intellectuals, especially those from the Banat region, had fought. Unfortunately, there followed a difficult period for Humanities and Exact Sciences. Fields of study such as Music, Fine arts, History, Geography, Biology, and Chemistry disappeared one by one; Philology was considerably reduced. As a result, many of the faculties were transferred to other institutions. 1989, the year of the Romanian revolution, was a turning point in the evolution of our university. It led to the present-day conditions. That is why the current structures and achievements make the West University of Timi

The European IPTLD Association represents the 80 years & 3 generations of Medical Doctors all named Donato Perez Garcia who have worked to bring forth an exceptional treatment for cancer & other degenerative diseases.Insulin Potentiation Therapy + targeted Low Dose IPTLD or IPT, is a true Stage IV cancer treatment alternative. It uses a combination of two orthodox drugs - insulin (actually insulin is also found in nature) and a chemotherapy drug. Cancer cells have highly active insulin receptors. With IPTLD the insulin works on the cell membranes and allows chemotherapy to target cancer cells. Thus, it is the chemotherapy that kills the cancer cells, however, because of the insulin, the amount of chemotherapy needed is greatly reduced, meaning the side-effects of the chemotherapy are greatly reduced. Thus, the chemotherapy is much more potent (thus the word: potentiation), much less chemotherapy is needed, and far less side-effects are experienced.
