Given her public affairs and communications background, Irene joined Solar Heat Europe/ESTIF in 2018, where she is in charge of monitoring, analysing EU legislation and implementing advocacy strategy. After graduating in International Relations, Irene moved to Brussels to pursue a Master’s Degree from the Institute of European Studies of the ULB (Universite Libre de Bruxelles). Her professional experience built on EU sustainability, first from a regional and industrial perspective and then with a specific focus on the renewable energy sector. Being an Italian native speaker, Irene is fluent in English and French and has a basic knowledge of Spanish. In her free time she is a volleyball fan and player.
