Javier works currently as the Knowledge Management Manager at Catenaria, a consulting service company specialized in learning, knowledge management and change and is Director of Knoco Ltd, an international consultancy service company specialized in KM with a base in the United Kingdom. With an academic background in Law (University of the Basque Country), Internet Management (Catalan Institute of Technology), a professor chair for e-learning (University of Sevile/Salamanca) and professor chairs for Knowledge Management courses (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile/University of Santiago), he has a broad insight how knowledge transfers work.
This helped him in his work for several international institutions (UN, Worldbank, Inter-American Development Bank) or multinational corporations (SAP). For 28 years he is now working with public and private sector organizations (financial, pharmaceutical, utilities, armed forces, retail, mining, petrochemical, education, etc.) in projects aimed at improving performance and results through knowledge management, collaborative work and face-to-face and virtual learning. These projects have revolved mainly around the areas of improved performance and capabilities of professionals and mobilizing the knowledge of the organization, having led teams and carried out consultancy work, design and implementation.
This gave him the capabilities and the necessary knowledge to be a speaker at seminars and international congresses on e-learning, Innovation and Knowledge Management since 1999.
