Marta Moretti is an Italian lawyer and provides legal advice to Italian and foreign companies, especially in the fields of data protection, antitrust, and life sciences. Inter alia, she has assisted her clients in proceedings before the European Court of Justice, the European Commission, the Italian Antitrust Authority, the Italian Data Protection Authority, The Italian Medicines Agency, and the Arbitration Chambers in Rome and Milan.
She is a teaching and research fellow at the Law Department of Luiss University in Rome, where she also gives seminars and lectures on European Union Law to students and professionals. In 2017, Marta represented the European Affairs Department of the Italian Prime Minister’s Office as a speaker in an EIPA course on European State Aid Law.
She holds a law degree cum laude and a PhD in International and European Union Law from La Sapienza University, and has attended the Academy of American and International Law in Plano, Texas. In 2017 she won a scholarship offered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to pursue the Master of Studies program at the European Law and Governance School in Athens.
She has published several articles and essays in law journals and books and has participated in a number of University research projects. During her PhD course, she conducted research in EU Law at the European Court of Justice, and at the European Commission.
