Mr. Ciobanu-Dordea is a Director of Circular Economy in the European Commission's Directorate General for Environment. He has been previously in charge of the Directorate responsible for enforcement, investments and environmental governance in the same DG. Before joining DG Environment in 2014, he was Director for "Equality", in charge of fight against discrimination in DG Justice. He joined the European Commission in 2009 as Director for "Fundamental Rights and EU Citizenship" in the same directorate.
Mr. Ciobanu-Dordea is a lawyer and holds an LL.M. degree from the University of Illinois (US) and a Ph.D. from the University of Bucharest (RO). He speaks Romanian, English and French.
