2nd IWA Specialized Conference

Nutrient Management in Wastewater Treatment Processes

CORDIS is pleased to announce its participation at the 2nd IWA Specialized Conference: Nutrient Management in Wastewater Treatment Processes, the most important conference on wastewtaer treatment in 2009.The conference is under the auspices of IWA Specialist Group Design, Operation and Economics of Large Wastewater Treatment Plants (LWWTP) and the Nutrient Removal and Recovery (NRR). We aim to bring together experts that will discuss issues of the most advanced limit-of-treatment technologies along with the experts presenting appropriate, most environmentally sustainable technologies. We want to discuss these seemingly divergent approaches from the standpoint of concentration versus load approach to effluent permits. Nutrient removal and recovery from concentrated streams and sludge liquors will be featured in the agenda as well as issues of green-house gas emissions. The topics of economics, design and research advances in leading edge technologies will be prominent in the program. We would like to initiate discussions on the issue of permits for limit of treatment technologies versus the large non-point source loads often with little or no controls. The conference will generate a set of proceedings that will present the state-of-the-art for immediate use and describe novel processes for further development and future application. Please plan on attending the Conference, we all would like to meet you!
