Identifying trauma and dealing with traumatised people

War and violence has an impact on people's individual well-being, their ability to relate to others and to rebuild trust, consequences that have been termed as "trauma". However, as widely used the term may be - it remains difficult to adequately understand traumatic processes in conflict and post-conflict settings leave alone to find adequate ways of dealing with them.
