Effective recruitment of People with Disabilities – PwD Employ project - press release: final results -Between 2008 and 2010, a European partnership implemented the project PwD Employ. The project was aimed to improve the skills and competences of the people who work in the human resources management about the recruitment of people with disabilities, fostering the employability of People with Disabilities.The project is the transference of IMMI TRAIN project, promoted by SPI (PT) in the framework of Leonardo da Vinci Program, which was intended to foster the employability of the immigrant people through the promotion of the competences of the companies’ recruitment staff.After an analysis focused on the training needs of the project target group and a little revision new chances provided by the Information and Communication Technologies, the final result is e-learning content available in a Personal Learning Environment. In eight different modules you can find (among others) information about European policies and practices in the employment of PwD, the analysis of factors that could hinder the recruitment of PwD, how to integrate the disability during the recruitment process and some useful guidelines for adapting the working environment to disability.  The products have been designed to personalise the training process and to promote collaborative learning. For more information please consult:INCSMPS website,  Project web siteor send email to: dr.Vasilica Ciuca or ms.Liliana Grecu
