On 22-23 February 2010, CEJA together with Dutch young farmers organisation NAJK will hold a seminar in the vicinity of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.Key speakers from EU institutions, the retail sector and a range of agricultural experts will exchange with young farmers from all over Europe on the topic of the food chain in the context of the CAP.From farm to fork, our food is likely to have traveled a very long way. From the farm where it is produced right to the plate of the consumer, our food passes many links where it is processed, packaged and transported.Who determines the price of food and who pulls the short straw, farmers, processors, supermarkets or consumers? And what are the alternatives? For farmers, these are pressing questions.The event is open to journalists and a press conference will be held on 23 February with key speakers.The event will take place in the ‘De Rode Hode’ conference centre, located in the center of Amsterdam.If interested in attending the event please contact the CEJA secretariat.
