OverviewWith rules and norms in a permanent state of flux, the world’s fifth domain, the Cyberspace, is striven with new challenges and dangers. Increasing instances of Cyber attacks on critical information infrastructure by unknown perpetrators and growing cost to business and individuals due to Cyber fraud has heightened the need for robust Cybersecurity frameworks and most importantly international cooperation in minimising the impact of Cyber Threats. The Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation, the premier ICT agency of the Commonwealth, launched its series of Cybersecurity Forum in 2010 to:Create awareness and build capacity of key decision-makers to implement robust Cybersecurity frameworksHelp identify resilient technical measures, appropriate organisational structures and strong laws and regulationsFacilitate partnerships between different stakeholders to facilitate the flow of information, expertise and resources Promote international cooperationCybersecurity Forum 2011 aims to build on the achievements made in 2010 by encouraging a discourse on Cybersecurity between principal policy makers and ICT regulators from across the Commonwealth, particularly from Africa, with Global experts.
