The 3rd International Conference on Computational Collective Intelligence - Technologies and Applications (ICCCI 2011)INTRODUCTIONICCCI 2011 is an international scientific conference for research in the field of Computational Collective Intelligence (CCI).The aim of this conference is to provide an internationally respected forum for scientific research in the computer-based methods of collective intelligence and their applications in (but not limited to) such fields as semantic web, social networks and multi-agent systems.SCOPE OF ICCCI 2011Methodological, theoretical and practical aspects of computational collective ntelligence such as group decision making, collective action coordination, knowledge integration, understood as the form of intelligence that emerges from the collaboration and competition of many individuals (artificial and/or natural).The application of multiple computational intelligence technologies such as fuzzy systems, evolutionary computation, neural systems, consensus theory, etc., to support human and other collective intelligence and creation of new forms of CCI in natural and/or artificial systems. Three subfields of application of computational intelligence technologies to support various forms of collective intelligence are of special attention but are not the only ones: semantic web (as an advanced tool increasing collective intelligence), social network analysis (as the field targeted to the emergence of new forms of CCI), and multiagent systems (as a computational and modeling paradigm especially tailored to capture the nature of CCI emergence in populations of autonomous individuals).PROCEEDINGSThe conference proceedings will be published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence series by Springer-Verlag and indexed by EI, ISI(CPCI-S), Scopus, DBLP, ACM Digital Library. Referees will be asked to nominate papers for a Best Paper award to be announced at the conference.
