1st STREAM policy seminar, Amsterdam

First STREAM policy seminar "State of the art in urban water management", 1st November, Amsterdam, International Water Week

On the first of November, 14.00-17.30, the first STREAM Policy Seminar will take place during the Amsterdam International Water Week. The objective of the STREAM Seminars are to bring together research and political actors to make sure politicians are aware of the latest research, and can base their decisions on the latest knowledge and secondly to make sure that new research is policy oriented, and actually contributes to addressing the current political challenges.The Seminar in Amsterdam will focus on Urban Water Management and is divided in two sessions. Firstly, the Seminar will outline the current challenges and developments on political and research level on urban water management in Europe. Secondly it will highlight practical examples of implementing sustainable water management in a number of cities, and the challenges these cities are facing in the implementation of these new measures.The event starts with the keynote speech of Arnaud Pinxteren, MP from the Brussels-Capital Region and is concluded by an open discussion session.Participation to the event is available for all registered participants in the IWW Conference. The seminar will also be recorded and for those who are interested to access from any part of the world, it will be available on stream website About STREAMThe STREAM project (Sustainable Technologies and Research for European Aquatic Management) is funded by the European Commission under the FP7- Environment. The consortium is composed of Minerva Consulting and Communication (BE), coordinator, and European Water Partnership (EWP), Europe for Business (EFB) and Menon Network. The project aims to support the development and the adoption of water technologies and raise awareness on the finding of research projects and address tailored information to specific categories of stakeholders.
