This workshop, developed within the GRAAL FP7 project as the first Brussels briefing, will highlight the challenges faced by local and regional authorities in three key sectors and describe how GMES technology is already helping them face these challenges or what services they would like to use in the future. For each sector a supplier company will respond to these challenges and outline possible technical solutions and current state-of-the art applications. This will allow an interactive discussion of current and future needs and solutions between experts from the local and regional level and suppliers and experts. The meeting will begin in the morning with a networking session and an introduction to the key GMES policy debate in Brussels and presentations of related networks. Following a light snack lunch, the afternoon session will give local and regional authorities and supplier companies to open up a discussion on how to needs and expectations with the market offer.
