The award ceremony of the EARTO Innovation Prize 2011 will take place on December 7th 2011 in Brussels. The EARTO Innovation Prize is awarded, on the basis of an open competition adjudicated by an independent jury, to a member of EARTO in recognition of its contribution to an innovation of significant economic and/or social impact. Mr. Robert-Jan Smits, Director General of DG Research, Innovation and Science, will deliver a keynote speech about the future direction of European research and innovation policies.
