On 30 November Commissioner Geoghegan-Quinn announced a Commission package of measures valued at 80 billion euros towards research and investment to boost growth and jobs.  John Bell will outline the strategic thinking behind these proposals and provide details on their implementation.    John Bell is Chef de Cabinet to the Commissioner responsible for Research, Innovation and Science and is responsible for the strategic, political and policy direction of a vital area of HORIZON 2020.
