Polish leading research centre in Food Science and Reproductive Biology, PAN is the perfect location to gather food researchers and nutrition scientists. To apply, submit the online application available on MAITRE's website.During the seminar senior journalists and media experts will train a target group of selected researchers how to improve their communication ability to convey the importance of their research to the general public. Participants will experience thorough hands on practice from writing press releases to giving interviews and preparing statements; these are just several of the tasks scientists will learn how to master when interacting with the media. The aim is transferring the special expertise and knowledge of journalists on to researchers, in order to increase the willingness of researchers to interact with the media and to properly communicate scientific information to the public. The EU funded project MAITRE - Media Actions for International Training of Researchers - aims to make the connection between researchers and journalists real and efficient. For this reason an online contact platform is provided; it is a database, which collects a contact list of high-level food researchers and science journalists from the European Union and Associated Countries, working in food and nutrition science.
